   Sorry, I know it's rude to eavesdrop, but ever since Malbork you've been whispering 'slay' and 'delulu' to yourself. Are you studying for some kind of test?

   Do roli. Jestem aktorką dubbingową, jutro podkładam głos czternastolatce w serialu dla młodzieży, a rozumiem co trzecie słowo. Posłucha pani, jak to brzmi?

   For a part. I'm a voice actress: tomorrow I'm dubbing a fourteen-year-old in a series for teenagers, and I understand every third word. Would you mind listening to how it sounds?

   Proszę: „Slay, siostro! Tylko nie bądź delulu: jak ktoś cię ghostuje od tygodnia, to nie jest zajęty, tylko ma cię gdzieś”.

   Here goes: 'Slay, sis! Just don't be delulu: if someone's been ghosting you for a week, he isn't busy, he just couldn't care less.'

   „Slay” to pochwała: że ktoś wygląda albo robi coś zabójczo dobrze. „Ghostować” to zniknąć bez słowa, jak duch, a być „delulu” to żyć złudzeniami.

   'Slay' is praise: it means someone looks or does something devastatingly well. 'Ghosting' is vanishing without a word, like a ghost, and being 'delulu' means living in a fantasy.

   A ja czytałam tę kwestię czule, jakby „delulu” znaczyło „kochanie”. Czyli należałoby ją zagrać ostrzej. A pani dokąd jedzie, jeśli wolno spytać?

   And I've been reading that line tenderly, as if 'delulu' meant 'darling'. So it ought to be played with more bite. And where are you headed, if I may ask?

   Do chłopaka, na niespodziankę. Od tygodnia nie odpisuje, bo ma sesję, więc wiozę mu szarlotkę, żeby miał siłę do nauki.

   To my boyfriend's, as a surprise. He hasn't replied for a week because he's got exams, so I'm taking him an apple cake to keep his strength up for studying.

   Exams in the middle of August? I don't want to interfere, but in August the only session my son has is a photo session on the beach.
