Day 54: Ages Ten and Up
In an escape room in Gorzów Wielkopolski done up as a grandmother's larder, Roksana (A) and her friend Milena (B), who says she is an escape room champion, have twelve minutes left to get out.
How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Point at (or tap) a Polish word to see what it means.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Polish, for example from the Resources page. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

You've already used both hints. The second one was 'The answer is closer than you think', and the man on the speaker sighed like a form teacher at parents' evening.

Bliżej, czyli gdzie? Przekopałam całą spiżarnię i mam tylko breloczek ze śliwką, który wzięłam na pamiątkę.
Closer, meaning where? I've dug through the whole larder, and all I've got is a plum keyring I took as a souvenir.

A souvenir? Milena, there's a little key hanging off that plum! You've had it in your pocket for forty minutes.
