Day 92: Made to Fit the Cobbles
In the courtyard of an old miners' tenement in Siemianowice 艢l膮skie, where volunteers are clearing out the cellars and the yard, Nikolas (A), a young volunteer, runs into Mrs Hilda (B), who has lived there all her life and speaks Silesian.
How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Point at (or tap) a Polish word to see what it means.

And you thought I chuck everything in the bin? That ryczka watched two thirds of the neighbours leave for Germany, and it always stayed right where it belonged.
