How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Point at (or tap) a Polish word to see what it means.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Polish, for example from the Resources page. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.
Dialogue
Audio recordings are on the way. For now, each lesson is the dialogue with its English translation.

A
Przepraszam, pani też na rozmowę o pracę?
Excuse me, are you here for an interview too?
-
B
Można tak powiedzieć. Denerwuje się pan?
You could say that. Are you nervous?
-
A
Trochę. Ostatni raz szukałem pracy dwadzieścia lat temu.
A bit. The last time I looked for a job was twenty years ago.
-
B
Niech pan śmiało opowie o sobie. Szefowej się to spodoba.
Just talk about yourself with confidence. The boss will like that.
-
A
Dziękuję, bardzo mi pani pomogła. A pani na jakie stanowisko?
Thank you, you've really helped me. And what job are you applying for?
-
B
Na żadne. To ja jestem tą szefową.
None. I'm the boss.
