Day 170: Mud on Sunny Street
After a Polish lesson at a secondary school in Nowy Targ, a sixteen-year-old pupil (A) asks his teacher (B) whether he can still change his essay on life in the countryside.
How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Point at (or tap) a Polish word to see what it means.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Polish, for example from the Resources page. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

Not great. The road I live on is now Sunny Street, but instead of a pavement there's still mud.

Has anything else changed? There was talk that the town bus route would be extended all the way out to you.

So far it's all just talk. The bus I wait for still only runs twice a day.
