Day 19: Who Drew the Cow?
In the lobby of a dairy cooperative in Mrągowo, Krzysztof Malinowski (A), from a Warsaw branding agency, strikes up a conversation with Natalia Sowa (B) while they both wait to see the board.
How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Point at (or tap) a Polish word to see what it means.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Polish, for example from the Resources page. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

Takie studia to dwoje, troje ludzi i banalna krówka na łące. Produkt sprzedający się w całej Polsce potrzebuje skali.
Studios like that are two or three people and a cliché of a cow in a meadow. A product that sells all over Poland needs scale.

Ciekawe, bo krówkę z obecnych kartonów narysowałam ja. Od poniedziałku jestem tu dyrektorką marketingu.
Interesting, because I'm the one who drew the cow on the current cartons. I've been the marketing director here since Monday.
